Apprentices & young people
We support a number of programmes that help enable and educate young people, particularly around employability skills. Our site learning zones offer programmes based around career days and work experience for local colleges and our 4-year, award winning engineer apprenticeship programme in the UK combines studying with on-the-job training.
Over the course of the programme apprentices earn qualifications and graduate with at least NVQ level 3. Skilled electrical and mechanical engineers are at the heart of our business, which is why we invest so much in their training and development. We also support STEM roles (science, technology, engineering, maths) work experience in our manufacturing sites with local colleges participating in 2-4 week work experience for their students to gain a valuable insight into the day to day responsibilities of a production engineer.
